MEMBERSHIP in RJC
Shalom. Welcome to the Rutland Jewish Center. We are pleased that you are interested in joining our congregation.
Our synagogue was founded over 100 years ago by people committed to living a Jewish life in beautiful central Vermont. We are an egalitarian community. Our mission is to continue in the tradition of our forebears by providing a nurturing home for Jewish worship, culture, study and identity-building. Your commitment to us will enhance this goal.
The future of Jewish life in Vermont and in the world rests with our children. Our Hebrew school teaches and encourages students not just to become b’nai mitzvot, but to be religiously prepared, and to be active and involved Jews, both locally and globally.
The Rutland Jewish Center is affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. In keeping with our congregation’s motto, “Love thy neighbor as thyself”, we are actively involved in many charitable organizations in the greater Rutland community.
We invite you to come to services Friday nights and Saturday mornings; stay to socialize and enjoy delicious food at the Oneg Shabbat and Kiddush lunch. We encourage everyone to join in our various activities, whether they are classes, committees, events or study groups.
The Rutland Jewish Center is open to all who desire to participate. It is our hope that you will choose to be involved. We anticipate your joining us as part of the Rutland Jewish Center synagogue family.
