Hebrew - Rabbi Weber

This past Tuesday, Robyn came to class 'fessin up that she had not done the HW. Thus, I switched to plan B, which was a vocabulary reenforcement game. I hope that by this Tuesday, both students will have read the first section (previously assigned) from the Bar/Bat Mitzvah Handbook.

I sent a snail mail today to every family in our little (but high quality!!) school. In it is a part for your child to lead at our service
and pot-luck dinner next week.

Thus, the major piece of homework is to learn to read/sing the parts. We will go over them on Tuesday.

Also in that snail mail are, among other items, reminders of:

1. There are only 2 sessions left of Tuesday school.
2. Meeting next Wed. night at 7:30 PM to discuss plans for next year.
3. 6 PM Hebrew School service and pot-luck dinner next week. Everyone has been assigned a short part, which is enclosed in the snail mail. We will practice a bit this coming Tuesday.

Ari and Robyn are hereby invited to join our seventh graders on June 19 for a screening of the movie, "Snow in August." See the snail mail for details.

PLEASE NOTE: Junior Congregation this week had to be cancelled as Jessica is not available. The one remaining, final session is Sat. June 16.

History/Philosophy - Nancy Garfinkel

This week we did not get much done, unfortunately. We will do better next week. I also understand that there was a problem with not receiving the homework assignment that I had sent out. I will include it again for you and I would like it done for next class.

For homework:

Please write a 1 page biography based on the discussions that we had with Mrs. Salander when we visited her on Tuesday, 5/15.

Have a great week, I'll see you both on Tuesday. Remember only 1 more class after that!

Mrs. Garfinkel

Enrichment:
Parents: Direct students to www.behrmanhouse.com where they can practice their Hebrew decoding
with “Click and Read Hebrew at Home” (the orange button) and drill prayer reading with “Click and Learn Prayer at Home” (the hot pink button). It’s also an ideal way for parents to practice along with their children.
