Lenny and I have not "gone kosher" but we do try to avoid pork, shell fish and mixing meat with milk. It came about after spending time with my orthodox son and his family and my son and daughter-in-law who are semi-observant as well as various Israeli friends and a number of Chassidic contacts. After growing up "kosher syle" and then clearly being out of that habit for quite a few years, it's good to know that at least being "kosher style" is not bad at all. Lenny and I somehow feel good about trying. Lastly, it seems right for the RJC to follow the same path.
