An Arabic Music Concert by the Yuval Ron Ensamble unites the sacred musical traditions of Judaism, Sufism, and Christian Armenian Church music. "The performance imparts the ancient and deep intercultural connection between these three traditions and the musical influences they share." Featuring songs of Sufi origin from Turkey, Jewish prayers from Moracco, Andalusia and Israel, and Armenian sacred music. 7:00 p.m. Mead Chapel, Middlebury College free and open to the public. Additionally, there are free lectures and demonstrations at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. with the Yuval Ron ensamble at the Center for the Arts concert Hall. If you attend one of the daytime events, make sure to leave time to browse in the exceptional art museum, also in the fine arts center. www.middlebury.edu/arts/calendar
