Copies of our Sisterhood's latest cookbook, Kosher Yankee Centennial: 100 Years of Jewish Cooking in Vermont, are now available for purchase. The 3-ring binder, hardcover cookbooks, with stunning cover art by Peter Huntoon, contain nearly 600 recipes and come with their own stand. To place an order, call the RJC at (802) 773-3455 (you may need to leave a message), e-mail office@rutlandjewishcenter.org, or download and print an order form. Tu B'Shevat this year will be celebrated as part of our regular Friday evening Shabbat Service. Oneg Shabbat will feature some of the traditional foods and fruits of Israel.
Around the World Cheese & Chocolate Tasting - Saturday, March 10th at 7:30 PM
(with hamentaschen). We need volunteers to bring cheeses and crackers, and to make fancy chocolate desserts. Please coordinate with Harvey prior to purchasing cheeses and baking ingredients. Suggested donation: $10
Pesach Seder - Friday, April 6th at 6:30 PM
Our Community Seder will take place on this, the first night of Passover. Arrangements and costs will be more or less the same as last year, with prices rising steeply for those who reserve a place at the last minute, as it is difficult to obtain the proper foods locally. Details TBA.
