Monday, March 15: Deadline for submitting recipes for Sisterhood's best-ever recipe collection, 'Kosher Yankee Centennial: 100 Years of Jewish Cooking in Vermont!' Publication is scheduled for this fall.  You may email or snailmail your recipe(s) or any questions to 'Sisterhood of the RJC', 96 Grove St., Rutland 05701, RJCenter@sover.net  or to Mj at northwoodcav@gmail.com. You may also bring your recipes to the RJC during office hours and Liz will make photocopies. Cookbooks are $20 each if ordered and paid for in advance. (Cookbooks will be $22 each after publication.)

Members: Adults $25; Children 5-18 $15; Under 5 Free.

Nonmembers: Adults $40; Children 5-18 $20; Under 5 $5.

 

Prices after March 23 will be higher than last year.

Members: Adults $29; Children 5-18 $19; Under 5 $3. Nonmembers: Adults $44; Children 5-18 $24; Under 5 $8.

All college students: $10.

We accept Discover, MasterCard & VISA.

 

We need 3-4 helpers to prepare food on each of the following days: Friday, March 26, Sunday, March 28 & Monday, March 29. Please contact Rabbi or Liz if you’re going to Costco sometime in the next few weeks as we need Manischewitz wine.

 

Thank you to all who have donated to our FURNACE FUND DRIVE. The Drive will close on March 31. If you make a contribution prior to March 31, your contribution will be matched 100% by a generous member.

Thursday, April 8 at 7:00 p.m. hosted by the College of Saint Joseph: Interfaith Holocaust Remembrance sponsored by the Rutland Area Clergy. A film will be shown. Discussion to follow. Refreshments. No charge.

Saturday, June 19: June Salander's 102nd Birthday Celebration. Everyone is invited to the kiddush luncheon which will follow our 9:30 a.m. Shabbat Services.

JEWISH RELIEF EFFORTS IN HAITI. The aftermath of the earthquakes in Haiti continue to cause large scale human suffering. Various Jewish organizations are on the scenne doing our part in helping to alleviate some of it. One such organization is the American Jewish World Service.
